From home to Double Bay
Hair has always been more than just a job to me. It’s something I’ve loved for as long as I can remember.
My name is James, and I’m the founder of Hair Authority. My journey into the hair industry began when I was just 14, but my love for hair started long before that.
- Early years
Where it started
Growing up, I was always surrounded by hair. I’d spend time playing with and styling my family members’ hair, especially my mum’s. At the time, I didn’t realise those little moments would become the beginning of something much bigger.
- Age 14
My first extension course
As I got older, my interest turned into a real passion. I knew hair was something I wanted to take seriously, so at 14 I completed my first hair extension course and began learning the craft professionally.
- Three years
Studying hairdressing
I dedicated the next three years to studying hairdressing, developing my skills, gaining hands-on experience and learning the technical side of the industry.

Hair Authority
What started as something I loved doing at home became my career. Today I specialise in luxury hair extensions, creating transformations that look seamless, natural and completely personalised to each client.

More than just hair
Hair Authority represents everything I’ve worked toward since I was 14. From playing with my mum’s hair as a kid, to completing my first extension course, studying hairdressing, building my clientele and now specialising in the transformations I once dreamed of creating, every stage has shaped the brand into what it is today.
And this is only the beginning.
My goal is to keep growing Hair Authority while holding on to what matters most: beautiful hair, exceptional quality, genuine relationships, and results my clients feel confident wearing every single day.
